Angry Birds News: Zynga offer rejected!

by Lulu on November 29, 2011

According to Game Pro, Rovio has turned down Zynga’s 2.25 billion dollar offer. We ask, Why Rovio Why?! It would have been nice to finally have a facebook-off with our Facebook friends. The Sims has done it, so why hasn’t Rovio? Could it be that they see something else coming? Perhaps Google + is the next big thing? It is never good to place all your “eggs” in one basket Rovio. (Pun absolutely intended) :D

We can’t really crucify Rovio for turning the offer down; it still isn’t clear what the terms were for this price tag. Perhaps it was a straightforward buy-off, and if that were the case I would have turned it down as well. Come on! Would you just sign over your billion-dollar baby that easily? You have to admit for a company that is worth over 1.2 billion dollars that was a low-ball offer.

Hope you manic Monday was a good one! Squawk you soon! ;)
